Make sure your school is prepared for the food-allergic child.  All school nurses, teachers, administrators and support staff are invited to attend this FREE conference.

Participants will be able to:

  • Discern food allergy vs. food intolerance
  • Explain the signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction.
  • Explain the physiology of a severe allergic reaction.
  • Discuss food allergy management in the school setting, including action plans and use of auto-injectable epinephrine.
  • Discuss best practices from other schools.

Dr. Angela Hogan, associate professor of pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Medical School, pediatric allergist at CHKD/CSG.

Betsy Looney, BSN, community liaison and school nurse at Norfolk Academy and St. Gregory The Great Catholic School.
